Originally from Warwickshire, now in Merseyside, I have had the pleasure of officiating all over England.
One of Liverpool County FA’s Mentors and a supporter of DXTL (Don’t X The Line) and REFspect campaigns
Why did you start refereeing?
Originally, when I picked up the flag, I was one of the few people who actually knew the offside rule, after that it became natural progression to play and officiate.
What is the most memorable match you have refereed and why?
There’s so many to choose from over the 3 decades, each have memorable moments, that’s an impossible question to answer.
What is your current career highlight and why?
Being able to pass on my knowledge to the up-and-coming referees, the do’s and don’ts and the bonds of friendship
What would you like to achieve in the next year?
Remain injury free - oh wait, already failed, so let’s just say no more injuries till the end of the season.
What is your ultimate ambition?
I have done everything that I wanted to do, Life will present itself with new things, it’s up to me whether I grasp them with two hands or let them go.
